Publiek Park
27 June — 28 September 2025
Publiek Park 2025, curated by Jef Declercq, Anna Laganovska, Koi Persyn and Adriënne van der Werf, took place at Plantentuin Meise with eleven installations exploring the garden as a site of classification, colonial histories, migration, co-evolution, science, and fiction. O.J.A.I. activated the 1960s modernist Herbariumhuis with Institutional Overgrowth, a performance that framed the building as an infrastructure for the containment of nature. For the duration of the exhibition, they left behind O.J.A.I. Echo—a tannoy sound installation with modular sound, clipped announcements, and a speculative architectural floor plan created with the expert assistance of Alexander Pfeiffenberger. Other participating artists: Bianca Baldi, Gabi Dao, Elise El Yousfi, Judith Kakon, Roy Köhnke, Myrthe van der Mark, Josse Pyl, Isa Schieche & Helen Weber, Jura Shust, and Līga Spunde.
