Nuit Blanche 2024

Presented at Nuit Blanche 2023, No Hard Shoulder was a performance lecture commissioned by Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, following a residency at the Centre Culturel Irlandais. O.J.A.I. created a site-specific performance lecture that explored the emotional resonance of architecture and public infrastructure through the lens of transgressive performativity and political imagination. A central theme of the piece was the Boulevard Périphérique, the orbital motorway encircling Paris. The presentation took place at Le Sample, a socio-cultural space that directly straddles the motorway.
