ALT WEST / ALT THIAR is a codeword and working title for a long-term body of work by O.J.A.I. commissioned by Ormston House in Limerick, Ireland. The project mobilises para-administrative protocols, infrastructural archaeology, and speculative officialdom to move through the architectures, infrastructures, and institutional afterlives of Ireland’s Mid-West region.

In March, O.J.A.I. will undertake a Limerick residency leading to an Ormston House exhibition (September–November), concentrating new work by O.J.A.I. and convening local researchers and interlocutors in a temporary regional headquarters.

Double Minutes is an ongoing series of presentations experimenting with the format of the artist talk curated by Siebert Mispelon and Francisco Correia. The 13th edition featured Pia Louwerens and O.J.A.I., unfolding on dual timelines and locations. Part one appeared in July’s issue of Umbigo Magazine, while part two took place live at Botanic Tower office block in Brussels.
